The Supreme Authority of the Palestinian Tribes in the Gaza Strip has denounced the Israeli army proposed plan regarding the possibility of enhancing the role of the tribes to control the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera reports.

Akef al-Masry, the commissioner-general of the Supreme Authority for Palestinian Tribes, has issued a warning against the plan, which is due to be discussed in the war cabinet meeting.

“The occupying state seeks to cover up its failure in Gaza and create confusion and strife in Palestinian society,” al-Masry said in a statement.
