There were at least a dozen raids in the occupied West Bank overnight, with the most serious happening in the small town of Azzun, Al Jazeera’s Bernard Smith reports from Ramallah, occupied West Bank.

“We know there have been violent confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli security forces there. An IED was thrown at a military jeep, and during those confrontations, four Palestinians were shot dead.

“Their bodies were taken away, which is not unusual for the Israelis. Since October 7, 46 bodies have been withheld by the Israelis and they got 194 in total since 2016,” Smith adds.

“There was also another violent raid in Jenin. Those raids are happening practically every night in Jenin, a centre of Palestinian resistance.”
