The medical director of Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon says they have treated more than 3,500 people since October 7, a “magnitude” they haven’t ever experienced until now, Al Jazeera reports.
“Even now we’re receiving many casualties… This weekend we received two very seriously injured people who are still fighting for their lives,” Medical Director Dr Chezy Levy was quoted as saying by the Israeli Maariv newspaper.
“October 7 to 9 will be remembered as one of the most difficult events … It’s an order of magnitude that I’m not sure anyone has ever experienced.”
