ISLAMABAD: As political parties have kicked off their campaigns for the upcoming general elections, President Arif Alvi has summoned a Senate session on Dec 26.

According to a notification issued by the presidency on Sunday, the session will take place on Tuesday, at 10.30am.

It is said to be a routine session of the upper house of the parliament being held to complete required number of days for Senate session in a parliamentary year, which is scheduled to be concluded on March 11, 2024.
