Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin has said the campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip is an Israeli operation and his visit to Israel is not aimed at setting a timeline for the fighting, AFP reports.
“This is Israel’s operation and I’m not here to dictate timelines or terms,” the US defence secretary said at a press conference with his Israeli counterpart.
