Araya on goal spree

LAHORE, Feb 21: Six-goal Diego Araya helped Lindt Chocolate beat Punjab Rangers 9-6 1/2 in the Aibak Cup polo on Tuesday. Araya scored a hat trick in the first chukker as the winners led 3-1 1/2. Punjab Rangers, who had a half goal handicap, struck a goal through Sattar Niazi.

The winners came out with 5-3 1/2 lead in the second chukker.

Araya struck his third goal while Sufi Muhammad Aamir a goal. For the losers, Sattar scored both goals.

Two more goals were scored by each team in the third chukker as the winners led 7-5 1/2.

Araya and Usman Haye scored one each for the winners while Jose Iriarte banged home twice for the losers. In the final chukker, Usman scored his second and Araya his sixth while Sattar struck his fourth for the losers but only to reduce the margin.
