The mistreatment of Palestinian detainees is “appalling”, Francesca Albanese, UN special rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories said in a post on X.
According to Albanese, Israel has killed 19,000 Palestinians in Gaza and 290 in the West Bank, including 7,700 children in the past two months.
“Annexation and forced displacement continue,” she said, adding that 4,000 Palestinians have been “arbitrarily detained” in the past two months.
