KASUR, Feb 21: A woman was crushed to death while her husband and two children sustained injuries near Pattoki bypass on Tuesday.
Police said Riaz was riding a motorcycle along with his wife Razia and children Ehsan, 3, and Zoia. When he reached near Halla Chowk Bypass, a speedy car (LZO-4823) coming from opposite side hit the motorcycle as a result of which Razia was killed on the spot while Riaz and children sustained serious injuries. They have been admitted to hospital.
FIRE: Unidentified people set a godown of fodder to fire at Kot Piran on Tuesday.
The godown owner has estimated the loss up to Rs500,000.
UPGRADED: The Punjab chief minister has ordered upgradation of Thai Sheikhum police post into a full police station.
DPO Syed Ahmad Mobeen told newsmen in his office on Tuesday that staff would soon be appointed at the police station.
He said 47 villages would fall in the jurisdiction of the police station.
