Displaced Palestinians, who are seeking refuge at overcrowded shelters in Gaza amid relentless Israeli bombing, are facing a spread of infectious diseases and shortages of water, food and other basic needs, Unicef said.

“A humanitarian ceasefire is the only way to help desperate people in need,” the agency wrote in a post on X.
