Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud, reporting from Rafah in southern Gaza, said it was another very difficult night for Palestinians across the Gaza Strip.

There were more air raids and heavy artillery shelling on the eastern side of Rafah City. There are reports that eight people from one family have been killed in northern Rafah — an area that is supposed to be safe for people to evacuate to.

Rafah has become a large refugee centre, and people have poured into the city within the past few days as the Israeli military expands its military operations on the ground.

In Khan Younis, near the vicinity of Al-Nasser Hospital, eight people have been killed from one family after a residential home was targeted – killing every single member of Al-Amoudi family.

Four more residential homes surrounding the targeted house were severely damaged.
