Upto 1.9 million Palestinians — over 85 per cent of the population — have been displaced across the Gaza strip, some multiple times, the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has said.
“Families are very vulnerable as they are forced to move repeatedly in search of safety,” it said in a situation update.
As of Dec 9, nearly 1.3m internally displaced persons (IDPs) were sheltering in 154 UNRWA installations across all five governorates of the Gaza Strip, including in the north and Gaza City.
