The main roads connecting the Rafah City to Khan Younis and other areas of the Gaza Strips have been destroyed due to relentless Israeli bombing, Al Jazeera correspondent Hani Mahmoud reports from the Palestinian enclave.

He said the wreckage of roads was making it difficult for people to reach Khan Younis.

“There is growing concern that Israel’s military operation is expanding to Rafah City. People fear this will feed into their permanent displacement, as there will be nowhere to go to except the border with Egypt,” Mahmoud tells Al Jazeera.
