ISLAMABAD: Eight brick kilns were sealed in the capital on Saturday for violation of Section 144.

Officials of the capital administration said Section 144 was imposed to control emission of poisonous gases by vehicles, factories, brick kilns, commercial establishment and individuals burning garbage that polluted environment.

The relevant officers were working to prevent environmental pollution and smog in different areas. In this regard, Magistrate Saddar Zone Mir Yamin conducted checking at Tarnol to ensure the enforcement of the ban, and found its violation by eight brick kilns. The magistrate said people should cooperate with the administration to control pollution and smog.
