ISLAMABAD: Dhai Chaal, an action and suspense film based on Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav and Indian-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan, premiered at Islamabad Club on Thursday night.

Political and social personalities including film stars participated to the red carpet event. The movie was a presentation by Faisal Production, with the punch line, “Yeh Bollywood nahi hai, jahan tum Indians her jang jeet jatay hoe”. Directed by Taimoor Sherazi and produced by Dr Irfan Ashraf, some of the stars of the movie present included Shamoon Abbasi and Ayesha Omar.

The event was attended by Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan, who is the son of Balochistan tribal and political leader Shaheed Mir Siraj Khan Raisani. Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan is the provincial caretaker minister for sports, culture and sports. Before the premiere, the producer of the film Dr Irfan Ashraf, and the cast of the film spoke to the media.

In his brief introduction of the production with those present, Dr Irfan Ashraf said that the film “Dhai Chaal” was a challenge, but with the help of local colleagues from Balochistan, his team was able to fulfill this dream.

“What really should have happened was that the government should have supported this cause. But the government has disappointed us. Now this film has been made and is going to be released in theaters tomorrow,” Dr Irfan Ashraf said urging movie buff go to cinemas and see how India was involved in terrorism in Pakistan.

According to the producers, India was misguiding the whole world through false films and propaganda. “We, being Pakistanis, have exposed the real face of India and its lies to the world by making this film,” said Dr Irfan Ashraf.
