SSGC in last eight

KARACHI, Feb 19: Defending champion, Sir Syed Girls College (SSGC) advanced into the quarterfinals of the Karachi Board Inter-collegiate throwball tournament at the Abdullah College the other day.

The holders defeated Zamzama College 15-6, 15-7 in the pre-quarterfinals. In an earlier match, they got the better of St. Lawrence College 15-0, 15-1.

Teams of 39 local colleges are taking part in the championship.

Meanwhile, Karachi board girls’ basketball team is due to leave for Lahore on Tuesday to compete in Inter board basketball tournament being held there from Feb 23 to 25.
