Soccer: Sharoz strikes winner

KARACHI, Feb 18: Mohammad Sharoz’s first half strike gave Hyderi Baloch a 1-0 win over Baloch Mohammadan Lyari in the KASB Premier League soccer match that saw two red cards at Sixteen Star Football ground on Thursday.

Mohammed Sharoz struck in the 27th minute to help his side earn a narrow victory.

Jahangir Taj of Baloch Mohammadan and Fareed Ahmad of Hyderi Baloch were red carded in the 68th minute.

Two-goal Mohammad Asif guided Malir National to a 4-2 victory over hosts Karachi United at City District Government Karachi Stadium.

Asif opened the scoring with a 37th-minute strike before grabbing his second in the 48th minute.

Malir National were 3-0 up two minutes later when Qaim slotted home.

Karachi United recovered to pump in two quick goals to reduce the margin.

Daniyal Alvi was on target in the 62nd minute, while Taha Alizai found the cage a minute later.

Pervaiz Ahmed of Malir National hammered home in the 65th minute to seal the fate of the match.
