Shahid shines

ISLAMABAD, Feb 17: Shahid Malik stroked a fine 91 as NUML thrashed Air University by 124 runs in the Inter-university (Zone C) cricket championship.

Batting first NUML posted 200 for five through Shahid’s knock and a useful 41 by Saeed and then dismissed their opponents for 76 in only 16 overs.

In another match, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) downed Bahria University by five wickets.

Bahria collected 184 for eight, Noman topscoring with 41 followed by Moin who scored 38 runs.

QAU achieved the target in the 26th over through a Majid Khan half century and Khurrum’s knock of 45. Ommair captured two wickets.
