Journalist Amal Zuhd and her family were killed early this morning in an Israeli air attack on their home in Gaza City, Al Jazeera reported, quoting the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The number of family members killed in the air strike was not given by Wafa, which also reported on the death of a Palestinian photojournalist, Mohammad Ayyash, who was killed on Thursday with several members of his family when their home was bombed in Nuseirat in central Gaza.

The death adds to the 53 journalists who have been confirmed by the Committee to Protect Journalists as killed in the Israel-Hamas conflict since October 7.
