PESHAWAR, Feb 17: A single-judge bench of the Peshawar High Court on Friday granted bail to a juvenile offender charged with human trafficking. Chief Justice Tariq Pervez ordered that the petitioner, Baryalay, should be released after furnishing two sureties of Rs200,000 each.
The bench observed that in view of the medical examination report of the Forensic Science Department it was proved that the petitioner was under the age of 18 years. The petitioner and an Afghan national, Khairullah, had been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency on Aug 27, 2005, on charges of human smuggling.
