Shelly Shem Tov told Israeli public broadcaster Kan that she knows her 21-year-old son Omer would not be on the list of captives to be released in the deal with Hamas, Al Jazeera reports.
“It is very painful,” she said, “and yet I am happy for those who will receive their children home”.
Shem Tov said any future deal should ensure all captives are released.
Omer was among the attendees of the music festival near the village of Re’im in southern Israel taken captive during the October 7 attacks.
