KARACHI: Doctor recovered

KARACHI, Feb 17: The Capital City Police have safely recovered a doctor who was allegedly kidnapped from Korangi on Thursday night. An accused kidnapper was also arrested. Dr Syed Qaiser Hussain Naqvi was allegedly kidnapped by three accused travelling in car no AGP-324 from Korangi near Nasir Jump, said a press release on Friday.

In the meantime, an eyewitness private security guard informed Madadgar-15 about the incident. The police reached the spot and identified the kidnapped doctor from his mobile phone and motorcycle, which were found on the spot.

Following the incident, the police conducted raid on house no 349, Sector 50-A, street no 8, Zaman Town in Korangi, where one of the accused identified as Saleem was arrested after exchange of fire. However, his two other unidentified accomplices managed to escape. The kidnapped doctor was safely recovered from the site.—APP
