Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi says it is necessary to ensure that the “conflict between Israel and Hamas” in Gaza does not expand into a regional conflict, Reuters reports.

Modi was speaking at the opening of a virtual summit of G20 nations, of which India holds the presidency.
