Melissa Barrera, a Mexican actor, has been fired from a Hollywood film after its production company labelled her pro-Palestinian social media posts as anti-semitic, Al Jazeera reports.

Barrera posted regularly about the situation in Gaza, where more than 14,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 7, accusing Israel of “genocide and ethnic cleansing”.

Spyglass, the production company for Scream 7, said it had “zero tolerance for [anti-Semitism] or the incitement of hate in any form”.
