SACRAMENTO, Feb 17: Hamid Hayat underwent terrorist training in Pakistan and planned to strike a blow in the United States, a prosecutor argued before jurors as his trial began in California on Thursday. Hamid Hayat, 23, was dressed in a black suit and listened through an interpreter as Assistant Attorney Laura Ferris portrayed him as a ‘terror-trained Islamic fundamentalist’ bent on carrying out an attack on US soil.—AFP
