KARACHI, Feb 17: Seven ships carrying containers, crude oil and soyabean meal are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Golden Express, Discoverer to unload and load containers and Lilac, to offload oil were berthed after the departure of seven.

The departing ships were led by Hyundai Advance, Energy, Golden Express, Kota Wangsa, Venture Ace, Anarita and Magway, while Kota Teraju, Discoverer, Duabi Fortune, MOL Silver Fern and PONL Buenos Aries are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 69,710 tons comprising 23,930 tons of export cargo including 1,768 tons of rice and 45,780 tons of import tonnage. The following ships are due on Saturday: Poppy, Swat, with crude oil, NCC Riyad, with chemicals, Sagamore, Nefeli-1, with containers, Mercs Ruhunu, with 2,825 tons of soyabean meal, and Han Zhong Men, with steel cargo.
