QUETTA: US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome has announced four initiatives to enhance the capabilities of law enforcement agencies in the province during a meeting with Caretaker Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki on Monday.

A $4 million assistance package will support the expansion of the Balochistan Police’s Anti-Terrorist Force training facility, doubling its capacity to train an additional 800 personnel.

The US has also allocated $2m to repair and upgrade ten police stations damaged by last year’s flood.

An additional $2m will be dedicated to constructing ten new police stations, focusing on improving service for women, girls, and all citizens.

Lastly, a $250,000 equipment grant was also announced by Mr Blome“ to better protect officers in the line of duty“.
