UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has said that Hamas’ attacks on Israel do not justify the collective punishment of Palestinians, Reuters reports.
“You cannot use the horrific things that Hamas did as a reason for collective punishment of the Palestinian people,” Guterres told CNN in an interview, adding that 101 UN personnel have died as Israeli bombards the coastal enclave following the Oct 7 attack by Hamas.
