Pope Francis calls for more aid in Gaza, freeing of hostages

Pope Francis has called for the wounded in Gaza to be taken care of immediately and the protection of civilians to be assured, along with more humanitarian aid for the strip and the freeing of hostages held by Hamas, Reuters reports.

“Shall arms stop, they will never bring peace, and the conflict shall not widen,” Francis said after the weekly Angelus prayer.
