KARACHI, Feb 15: Five ships carrying containers and general cargo and to load naphtha and fish are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Kuo Hung, MOL Silver Fern, Iran Baabaei, to unload and load containers, Stella-M, to load rice and Lalazar, to offload crude oil, and Hannibel-11, to load molasses were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships which departed included Yang Jiang He, CMA CGM Simba, African Eagle, Yong Xiang-9 and Samho Heron, while APL Cairo, Iran Baabaei, Corin Thaikos, Kuo Hung, Venture Act, Hyundai Advance, Kota Wangsa and Hannibal-11 are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves rose to 0.130m tons comprising 28,542 tons of export cargo and 0.101m tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Lilac, to load 5,160 tons of ethanol, Golden Express, to offload containers, Harima-2, to load 400 tons of fish, Iran Eghbal, to offload steel cargo, and Iron Butterfly, with project cargo.
