Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has warned of a “spillover effect” of the “catastrophic” situation in Gaza, which can go beyond the region, Anadolu Agency reports.

In an interview with the Turkish agency, the premier said, “An unfolding human tragedy is being witnessed in the region. And it will have a spillover effect, not just in the region but probably beyond the region.”

Calling for an immediate ceasefire, PM Kakar said the Organisation of Islamic should deliberate upon the situation in Gaza and come up with a “collective response” in its summit in Riyadh tomorrow.
