UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini will address the international humanitarian conference for Gaza’s civilian population in Paris today.

In a statement, the UNRWA said it would advocate with its partners to “actively work towards an urgently needed humanitarian ceasefire, and efficient and uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid, critical for civilians across the Gaza Strip”.

“The international community must concretely and immediately take action to promote compliance with international humanitarian law and the protection of civilians, humanitarian personnel, and civilian infrastructure across the Gaza Strip,” it stated.
