US President Joe Biden does not support an Israeli military occupation of the Gaza Strip after the Israel-Hamas war ends, a White House spokesman has said.
Biden believes “a reoccupation by Israeli forces of Gaza is not the right thing to do”, the White House national security spokesperson, John Kirby, told reporters, according to Al Jazeera.
The comments come a day after the Israeli premier said Israel would take responsibility for security in Gaza for an “indefinite period”.
