Two killed in KP attack

LAKKI MARWAT: Two youngsters were killed and three others injured in a hand grenade attack by rivals in the Walai Sagai area of Lakki Marwat district on Sunday, according to police.

Niaz Gul, his wife and three sons were working in the fields when their rivals, identified as Naseeb, Shafiullah and Khaliq, armed with assault rifles and hand grenades, came there.

As per the police, the suspects hurled hand grenades, which exploded near the victims. Mr Gul’s two sons, Saeed Zaman,17 and Armanullah, 5, were killed on the spot.

The patriarch, his wife Gul Pari Jana and son Jasimullah were injured in the attack.

Mr Gul told the police that after the attack, his relatives arrived at the site and shifted his family to a hospital in Tajori town.

He said his family had an old enmity with the attackers over a murder case. A case has been registered against the assailants, and an investigation has been started, the police said.
