BRL buys Canadian heater

KARACHI, Feb 14: Bosicor Refinery Limited (BRL) has signed a contract with Born Heaters of Canada for the supply of a 35,000-barrel per day capacity CDU fired furnace heater for its refinery situated at Hub, Balochistan.

According to BRL press release, this revamp project will cost Rs300 million and is estimated to be completed by August 2006 which would de-bottleneck the capacity of the refinery from 18,000 barrels per day to over 30,000.

The letter of credit for the furnace/heater has already been established by the company.

BRL has also signed an agreement with BP Singapore PTE Ltd for import of five million barrels of crude oil for the refinery.
