Palestinian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Husam Zomlot has said it is the UK’s responsibility to “correct the historic injustice” of the Balfour Declaration that paved the way for Israel’s existence.

“The ongoing campaign of mass murder against our people in Gaza and all over Palestine is a stark reminder of the catastrophic consequences of that declaration,” he said.

Zomlot also demanded that the UK “demand an immediate end to Israel’s aggression, recognise the State of Palestine and collect international support to once and for all end Israel’s occupation”.
