Jahangir, Adil guide Wapda home

LAHORE, Feb 11: Fine batting by skipper Adil Nisar, Jahangir Mirza and Tariq Aziz guided Wapda to an easy eight-wicket win over Service Industries in the Patron’s Cup Group ‘B’ tie at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Saturday.

Chasing 230, Wapda needed just 29.5 overs to reach their target.

Openers Adil and Jahangir each contributed 76.

Adil hit 14 boundaries in his belligerent 44-ball knock in the 94-run opening stand while Jahangir slammed nine fours and faced 79 balls.

Tariq Aziz was the other star with 74 before he was run out.

His 56-ball innings included nine fours and two sixes and dominated the second wicket stand of 133 with Jahangir.
