GWADAR: Unidentified gunmen riding a motorbike killed two persons in the Panjgur area of Makran division on Monday.

Police said the incident took place near Sarawan Mamoir Public School Chowk in the Khuda-i-Abadan area, a locality on the outskirts of Panjgur town.

“Armed men targeted both persons who were passing through the area,” a senior police officer said, adding that the assailants escaped from the scene after firing with automatic weapons.

Police rushed to the site after receiving information and shifted the bodies to Panjgur district hospital where they were identified as Nazir Ali and Mohammad Aslam. The bodies were handed over to the family after completing medico-legal formalities.

Police said the cause of the killing was not known. However, efforts were underway to arrest the accused involved in the killing. No one has claimed responsibility of the killing so far.
