President Dr Arif Alvi visited the Palestinian embassy in Islamabad to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.

According to a statement issued by the Aiwan-i-Sadr, Alvi met Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Rabei and condemned Israeli aggression in Gaza.

The president urged the international community to condemn Israel’s brutality in the Palestinian enclave and the killing of thousands of innocent people.

He also called for an immediate ceasefire and the opening of humanitarian corridors to send aid to Gazans in need of food, electricity and water. “The United Nations should pass a resolution to stop Israeli atrocities,” Alvi said.

“The people of Pakistan are standing with Palestine,” he asserted, adding that Pakistan would only accept a solution that was acceptable to the Palestinian people.

The president also recorded his remarks in the condolence book at the Palestine Embassy.
