SWABI: A man killed his wife and son-in-law allegedly for honour inside his house and later surrendered to Topi police on Thursday.

Topi police station SHO Subhanullah Khan said that the incident occurred in Hakimabad village in Kotha area.

Police said that the accused was suspicious that his wife had developed illicit relations with his son-in-law. They said that he pretended on Thursday that he was going for some work and would return late. They said that he did not go out but hid himself in the house.

In the meantime, his son-in-law entered the house and after some time the man came there and opened firing on his wife and son-in-law, killing them both on the spot.

Police claimed that they arrested the accused and recovered a double-barrel shotgun used in the crime from his possession. However, local sources said that the accused holding the gun in his hand went straight to Topi police station and surrendered.

The dead bodies were shifted to tehsil headquarters hospital for autopsy and police registered an FIR and started investigation.
