KARACHI, Feb 8: The pro-vice-chancellor of the University of Karachi, Prof Dr Akhlaque Ahmed, has exhorted the students to foster research and creative abilities besides acquisition of knowledge.

He was speaking as chief guest at a ceremony held at the University College located in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

Prof Ahmed was of the view that students should concentrate fully on acquiring education and in this process they should also benefit from the facilities such as the libraries and seminars.

Prof Ahmed also advised them to improve the communication skills as well as their proficiency in English language.

Prof Ahmed lauded the performance of the institution and praised the role of the management and the faculty.

Earlier the principal of the college, Tehseen Ali Khan, presented the welcome address and shed light on the achievements of the institution and its students.—APP
