Kamran named KU skipper

KARACHI, Feb 7: Kamran Ahmed was named skipper on Tuesday to lead Karachi University (KU) which will take part in Inter-university cricket championship starting from Feb 14.

Prof. Mushtaq Hussain had been appointed Manager with Shahid Masood as his deputy while Waseem Majid and Haris Ayaz named as coaches, said a KU press release issued here on Tuesday.

The selected players have been directed to report to team officials on Feb 11 at KU Gymnasium along with their original documents.

Team: Kamran Ahmed (captain), Ather Abid, Azmat Ali, Tabishur Rehman, Badar Muneer, Adnan Akhter, M Zafar, Anwer Afridi, Maisam Zaidi, Osama Qureshi, Ali Yousuf, Yasir Nafees, Abdullah, Alam Khan, Owais Ali Khan, Akber.

Reserves: Zohaib, Atif Khan, Naveed Yaqoob, Naveed Razzaq, Shumail.—PPI
