DERA ISMAIL KHAN: One militant was killed and another injured during an intelligence-based operation in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district on Wednesday, the ISPR said in a statement.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, security forces conducted the operation in Kulachi tehsil where one terrorist was killed and another injured during an “intense exchange of fire” between security personnel and militants.

The statement said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the dead militant who was involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent civilians.

“Locals of the area appreciated the operation. Sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area,” it added.
