Students boycott classes

TOBA TEK SINGH, Feb 6: Students of various colleges boycotted their classes and took out a protest procession on Monday against blasphemous cartoons published by a Danish newspaper.

The protesting students of the Government Municipal Degree College, the Government Commerce College and the Government Vocational Training Institute reached the Clock Tower Chowk on Jhang Road where students of various schools also joined them.

Student leaders urged the government to sever diplomatic ties with Denmark. They announced that they would boycott all products of Denmark, and urged the general public to do so.

INJURED: Two constables of the Rajana police were injured in a road accident on the Toba-Chichawatni Road on Monday.

Azam and Allah Ditta were on their way to Toba from Rajana when a motorcycle-rickshaw hit their bike near Chak 351-GB, Nagra. They sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital. —Correspondent
