Solidarity Day observed

ISLAMABAD, Feb 5: The Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed all over the country and in Azad Kashmir on Sunday to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir in their struggle for freedom.

Processions were taken out and rallies held in Islamabad, the four provincial capitals and most of other cities and towns of the country.

In Azad Kashmir, the main rally was held in Muzaffarabad which was addressed by President Pervez Musharraf and attended by AJK President Anwar Khan and Prime Minister Sikandar Hayat.

Processions were taken out and rallies held in Mirpur, Kotli, Bagh, Rawalakot, Bhimbher, Palandari, Dadayal, Khuiratta, Hattian, Samani and other towns of Azad Kashmir.

Seminars and discussions were organized in major cities of Pakistan where political leaders and scholars paid tribute to the heroic struggle of the people of Kashmir and remembered the martyrs of the cause. —Agencies
