LAHORE: The Lahore Arts Council and Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, will organise a traditional Sri Lankan dance performance titled “Kanya, the Poetry in Motion,” by Chandana Wickramasinghe and The Dancers’ Guild Sri Lanka at Alhamra Arts Centre, The Mall, on Thursday (tomorrow).

This enchanting event will feature the renowned choreographer Chandana Wickramasinghe and The Dancers’ Guild, who will take the audience on a mesmerising journey through the rich traditions of Sri Lankan dance.

The performance is a vibrant blend of Lankan traditional folk fusion and freestyle dance, promising to be a visual and auditory treat for attendees. Audiences can expect an awe-inspiring display of colourful costumes, rhythmic footwork, and graceful movements that tell stories deeply rooted in Sri Lankan culture. This cultural extravaganza is made possible through collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka, Karachi. It represents the strong bonds of cultural exchange and friendship between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
