SWAT: Four people were killed and 12 others suffered injuries in separate accidents here on Monday.

According to Kanju police, two persons shot dead a shopkeeper identified as Riaz Khan inside his shop. Police registered a case against the accused and started search for them with the help of CCTV footage.

In another incident, 32-year-old Saddam Khan was shot dead by unidentified in Ogdey area of Takhta Band region in the limits of Rahimabad police station.

Police shifted his body to Saidu Sharif Hospital for postmortem and registered a case against unidentified accused.

Meanwhile, Irfanullah lost his life and his companion Anas sustained severe injuries following a collision between their motorcycle and a motorcar in Charbagh area.

Also, a passenger coach hit a shop due to brake failure in Sakhra area of Matta tehsil. As a result, a woman passenger was killed and five people were injured.

In another incident, six people were injured when a passenger coach skidded off the road and fell into a ditch in Sakhra area of Matta tehsil. All the injured persons were shifted to local hospital for medical treatment.

Similarly, unidentified robbers targeted a young man on Sunday evening along the main Saidu Sharif Road. Sohail Iqbal told police that he was going from Faizabad to Saidu Sharif when unidentified armed men intercepted him and forcibly took his mobile phone and cash.

Saidu Sharif police registered a case against the unidentified robbers.
