TAXILA: Three persons lost their lives in two different incidents in various parts of Attock district on Monday as per the police sources.

In the first incident, a man and his brother-in-law drowned in Shahpur Dam in the limits of Fatehjang police station.

According to the police sources, Arslan with his brother-in-law went to Shahpur Dam for a picnic when Arsalan lost control and drowned due to the high water level. His brother-in-law jumped into water to rescue Arslan and subsequently, he also lost control and drowned.

Local volunteers retrieved the bodies of the victims and shifted them to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Fatehjang.

In another incident, a man lost his life due to an electric shock in the village of Pind Mehri in the limits of Hassanabdal Police Station.

As quoted by the family of the victim, 35-year-old Babar Ali was repairing the electrical wiring at his house when he received an electric shock and died on the spot.

The police have registered separate cases and launched further investigations.
