KOHAT: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (CIP), which is sponsored by the Asian Development Bank, has set up an exclusive bazaar for woman entrepreneurs to provide them a chance to learn and display their artifacts for better earnings.

In this regard, a daylong workshop was organised for local women on Saturday to impart them modern techniques and required expertise on how to achieve better commercial results from their value-added products.

Skills enterprises consultant Zahid Khursheed, gender coordinator Shehla Gul, programme supporting officer Neelam Mehal, gender specialist Saadia and consultant gender expert Gul Rukh were also present on the occasion.

In the bazaar, stalls and shops would only be let out to women and only female buyers would be allowed as majority of women in the conservative society don’t like to mingle with men in the shopping areas. The Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also offered its services for the local women to help them in starting different trades.
