HYDERABAD, Feb 5: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz and Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, including women and children, staged a demonstration and hunger strike outside the press club here on Sunday against arrest and disappearance of party leaders.

The arrested leaders of the parties are: Nawaz Zounr, Sattar Hakro, Muzaffar Bhutto, Sikandar Soomro, Ahmed Tunio, Zulfiqar Khaskheli, Mehram Mallah, Zulfiqar Kolachi and Shahmir Burdi.

The protesters were carrying placards and banners and raising slogans.

They were led by JSQM leader Abdul Wahid Arisar.

The protesters alleged that an unannounced operation was launched against nationalist parties by the state agencies.

They said the arrested leaders should be produced in courts.

A message of the JSMM chairman, Shafi Mohammad Burfat, who himself is a fugitive, was read on the occasion.
