KARACHI: A teenage girl was found murdered in her PIB Colony home on Tuesday afternoon, police and rescue services said.

An Edhi Foundation spokesperson said that the girl was tortured to death by robbers.

The police said that the body of Fiza Mohammed Ali, 18, was found in Nafeesabad near Olia Masjid, Teen Hatti.

He said that the Crime Scene Unit of the police had collected evidence from the house and an investigation had been launched to ascertain the exact motive of the murder.

PIB Colony SHO Adeel Afzal said she was strangled by unknown person(s).

He said that the suspect(s) also took away jewellery, but it appeared that they did so to divert the focus of investigation.
